Makaan - first VA release
Makaan is now a record label, and I'm excited about our first album playing on a top-notch sound system I have ever seen. We're showcasing artists from Iran, and our upcoming EP (Extended Play) and VA (Various Artists) will highlight talent from regions with limited access to social media platforms due to sanctions and censorship. We aim to make our sounds visible, breaking borders so that artists from different parts of the world can be seen and heard. Join us for our first album release party, and let's make it a celebration to remember. @fold.ldn resident @alba_heidari has been making absolute scenes, delivering powerful cross- genre sets, with a deep understanding of d’n’b, breaks, hardcorte, hardtek, electro and even gothic industrial. We're thrilled to have Alba kick off the night at Makaan. No racism, no homophobia, no transphobia, straight friendly :) Fold operates a strict 21+ and ID check at the door policy. Daytimers x makaan x Woman Life Freedom
A revolution is taking place in Iran. A revolution to free Iranians from the shackles of a dictatorship that for four decades has deprived them from living a normal life; from loving freely, dancing , and simply being. DAYTIMERS, MAKAAN and UNITED4MAHSA are joining forces to stand in solidarity with and raise awareness of those uniting against the regime in Iran. Join us on the 10th December at Egg London from 2-11pm, where will be be taking over two floors of the club: Upstairs: The dance floor has been a forbidden space in Iran for more than 40 years. Join us here for a protest rave. Downstairs: Iran needs us all to spread the word and raise awareness. Join us here to learn more on the Woman Life Freedom movement and what you can do to support.
